Clevara

Terms of service

These terms cover what Clevara sells, what it does not do, and where it is available. They are current as of the date above and may be updated before launch.

What you are buying

Clevara sells a one-time factual analysis of the federal student loan data in the file you upload, together with the answers you provide. The report summarizes your loans, estimates your monthly payment under each federal repayment plan in both the current and the July 2026 menus, and displays the criteria that forgiveness and discharge programs set out, next to your own information.

Clevara is an information product. It is not legal advice, not financial advice, and not a debt-relief or debt-settlement service. Clevara does not contact your servicer, does not submit applications, does not negotiate, and does not enroll you in anything.

Who decides what you get

The U.S. Department of Education and its servicers make all eligibility, forgiveness, and discharge determinations. Clevara displays program criteria next to the information you provide; it does not make eligibility determinations or recommendations.

Every payment figure in the report is an estimate produced from the data in your file and the answers you give. Your servicer determines final amounts. Clevara offers no guarantee of forgiveness, approval, or any specific payment.

Federal repayment rules are in the middle of a statutory overhaul. The report states the assumptions behind every figure, and those assumptions are part of the answer.

Accuracy of what you upload

The analysis can only be as accurate as its inputs. It runs on the file you upload and the answers you enter, without independently verifying either. An out-of-date file, an altered file, or an inaccurate income or family-size answer produces an inaccurate report. Downloading a current file from studentaid.gov before each analysis is the way to avoid that.

Where Clevara is available

Clevara is currently not available to residents of California, New York, or Illinois, and the analysis flow is blocked in those states. This reflects state licensing and registration regimes that apply to this category of service, and it may change.

Acceptable use

You may use Clevara to analyze a loan file you are entitled to have — your own, or one belonging to someone who asked you to look at it. You may not resell or redistribute the report as a commercial product, scrape or automate access to the service, attempt to bypass the payment step, or upload a file you have no right to.

The report you buy is yours to keep, print, and share with your servicer, your employer’s HR office, or an advisor of your choosing.

Payment and refunds

Clevara is a one-time purchase in U.S. dollars (USD), with no subscription and nothing to cancel. Payment is processed by Stripe. The refund policy is stated in full on the refunds page and is part of these terms.

Limitation of liability

Clevara provides estimates and program criteria, not outcomes. Decisions about your loans remain yours, and the consequences of those decisions rest with you and with the entities that administer the programs. Clevara’s responsibility for any claim arising from the report is intended to be limited to the amount you paid for it.
